Brow Lift

Deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines between the eyebrows, drooping eyebrows and a hood-like sag over the eyes are all conditions that can make you look older than you are --or feel. Whether or not these conditions are caused by age or heredity, a forehead lift (or brow lift) can give you a more youthful, animated and alert appearance.

Forehead lifts are usually performed under local anesthesia supplemented by a mild sedative to keep you awake, yet relaxed. Your doctor will make an incision across the top of the head, just above the hairline. Excess skin and portions of muscle are then removed through the incision, which is then closed with clips or sutures. Forehead lifts can also be performed endoscopically using tube-like instruments for a very small incision.
