Eyelid Lift

Eyelid surgery (or blepharoplasty) is the preferred treatment for removing bags under the eyes or drooping eyelids, conditions that can add years to your appearance, and even impair your vision. Eyelid surgery can make you look - and feel - years younger, and is one of the most requested cosmetic procedures.

Eyelid surgery is often performed under twilight anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Your doctor will make tiny incisions along the natural lines of your eyelids through which excess fat, skin and muscle is removed. The incisions are closed with fine sutures, which will leave scars that are often hidden and unseen.

Most patients are back to their normal routines within 1 - 2 weeks. Swelling and bruising, and some discomfort are part of the recovery process, and usually can be alleviated with cold compresses and appropriate medication.
